The Hidden Terrace Vineyard is a well-kept secret sequestered on a steep south-facing slope at the edge of our Mountain Estate.
Scratched into a ravine and farmed entirely by hand due to the severe slopes, this small vineyard is composed of rare tuff (volcanic ash) soil that produces Syrah of intense concentration and varietal distinction. Extremely low yields limit production of this wine to just a handful of barrels each vintage.

The 2003 Hidden Terrace Vineyard offers aromas of ripe plum followed by chocolate with hints of cedar and subtle spice. The palate is well balanced with bright acidity and ripe tannins, which coat the core and carry through to the finish.
