The Hidden Terrace Vineyard is a well-kept secret sequestered on a steep south-facing slope at the edge of our Mountain Estate.
Scratched into a ravine and farmed entirely by hand due to the severe slopes, this small vineyard is composed of rare tuff (volcanic ash) soil that produces Syrah of intense concentration and varietal distinction. Extremely low yields limit production of this wine to just a handful of barrels each vintage.

An all-time favorite of our winemaking team, this vintage of Syrah is pure Hidden Terrace terroir. Expressive aromas of raspberry liqueur, bay laurel and cracked white pepper jump from the glass. On the palate, intense flavors of ripe plum, candied violet and baking spice burst with remarkable freshness; firm tannin and mouthwatering minerality add length to the finish. This wine continues to unfold layers of complexity and intrigue with time in the glass, also hinting of good things in store for any patient enough to cellar.
