The Hidden Terrace Vineyard is a well-kept secret sequestered on a steep south-facing slope at the edge of our Mountain Estate.
Scratched into a ravine and farmed entirely by hand due to the severe slopes, this small vineyard is composed of rare tuff (volcanic ash) soil that produces Syrah of intense concentration and varietal distinction. Extremely low yields limit production of this wine to just a handful of barrels each vintage.

Aromas of ripe plums mingle with hints of lemongrass and Balinese peppercorn. On the palate this wine is fruit dominant with tremendous freshness and finesse. Flavors of plum and cassis are shaped by the interplay of tannin and mountain acidity that promotes ripe fruit and savory elements to coexist with remarkable purity. This wine has mesmerizing complexity and lends itself to pair with a wide range of culinary accompaniments from simple cheese and cured meats, to duck confit.
