The Hidden Terrace Vineyard is a well-kept secret sequestered on a steep south-facing slope at the edge of our Mountain Estate.
Scratched into a ravine and farmed entirely by hand due to the severe slopes, this small vineyard is composed of rare tuff (volcanic ash) soil that produces Syrah of intense concentration and varietal distinction. Extremely low yields limit production of this wine to just a handful of barrels each vintage.

The 2016 Syrah Hidden Terrace Vineyard is very primary today. Dense, pliant and creamy, the 2016 offers terrific textural richness, but less in the way of aromatic nuance. Time in bottle should take care of that, though. This pretty, inviting Syrah is endowed with tremendous character and personality, as all of the best Fisher wines are.
