The Hidden Terrace Vineyard is a well-kept secret sequestered on a steep south-facing slope at the edge of our Mountain Estate.
Scratched into a ravine and farmed entirely by hand due to the severe slopes, this small vineyard is composed of rare tuff (volcanic ash) soil that produces Syrah of intense concentration and varietal distinction. Extremely low yields limit production of this wine to just a handful of barrels each vintage.

Opaque in color with a purple hue at the edge of the glass. Aromas of ripe plum, white pepper and sizzling bacon, along with a floral aspect best described as rose petal. The palate boasts flavors of remarkable purity, intensity and balance: dark plum and blackberry mingle with a light white pepper; soy marinated duck layered with firm fine grain tannins extend a long, juicy, persistent finish. Once opened, patience to savor this bottle over several hours will be rewarded by extensive development as the wine opens with air to reveal additional layered complexity.
